Lesson C: Softening Comments

A soft commment is a polite way to express something bad or maybe defects about anybody. People often need to soften things they say with the purpose of sound less direct or definite.

People usually use the following expressions to soft their comments:

                               

Examples: 

• That guy over there seem a little nosy. I guess he doesn´t have anything better to do.
• The girl above me plays the drums a bit too loud. It gets kind of noisy-
• My neighbor is  sort of weird. He never talks. I think he is probably just shy.
